    An experimental study on stabilization of seriously degraded waterlogged wood unearthed from Homutu,Zhejiang province

    The waterlogged pieces of house frame unearthed from the site of Homutu culture of Zhejiang province are very difficult to stabilize in laboratory due to their large dimension.To solve this problem,the fractors of freeze-drying at nutural condition in high latitude in China are studied.The result indicated that PEG 1000 has well effect to prevent crack of the wood surface and seriously degraded water logged wood in large dimension can be stabilized in one winter by two step method——air drying and freeze-drying in nature.
