Research on Model Construction Accuracy Based on Consumer-Grade UAV
GAO Xiang;School of Surveying and Mapping, Anhui University of Science and Technology;
With the increasing demand for the construction of digital cities and digital campuses, in order to solve the problem of low efficiency by traditional methods, consumer-grade unmanned aerial vehicles are used to obtain survey area data by using tilt photogrammetry technology to complete the construction of the three-dimensional model of the survey area. Taking the 100 m×300 m area around the School of Earth and Environment of Anhui University of Science and Technology as the experimental survey area, according to different relative flight heights and layout schemes of image control points, the 3 D models of 15 survey areas are constructed, and the accuracies of the 3 D models are evaluated by selecting the feature points of ground features as check points.. The results of 3 D model accuracy evaluation shows that: under the same layout schemes of image control points, the accuracy of the constructed 3 D model decreases with the increase of relative flying height; when the relative flying height remains unchanged, the number of image control points increases from 4 to 8, and the accuracy of the constructed 3 D model will also increase. In the 3 D model constructed in the survey area, root-mean-square error of plane positions can reach 44 mm, the elevation root-mean-square error of heights can reach 46 mm, the accuracy of 3 D model construction using consumer-grade UAV can reach centimeter level. Using consumer-grade UAV for 3 D modeling has important practical value.
